The Copper Kettle Tea Room is a charming cafe located in the picturesque setting of Emm-lee, Llanddewi Skirrid, Abergavenny. Customers rave about its warm, welcoming atmosphere and friendly staff, making it an ideal spot for a delightful meal or a casual chat. Many patrons, including Martin McDowell, appreciate the cafe’s inviting ambiance that encourages lingering over food and conversation.
Guests are treated to generous portions of homemade dishes. Colita Dainton highlights the cafe's commendable menu, featuring favorites like chili con carne and tikka masala. While a minor alteration to the milkshake recipe could enhance its creaminess, the overall quality remains undisputed. Notably, the breakfast experience garners significant praise, especially from Arnold de Gans and DP O', who enjoy the expertly cooked full breakfast. They applaud the skillful preparation using high-quality ingredients like thick-cut bacon and delectable sausages, served alongside comforting baked beans and buttery toast.
With a substantial menu catering to diverse tastes and a spacious rural setting, The Copper Kettle Tea Room stands out as a hidden gem. Stephen Tierney encapsulates the essence of this cafe, emphasizing its clean environment, ample parking, and the sheer joy of visiting.

A hidden gem, with a warm welcome, good portions and nice food. Visited at lunch time and it was fairly busy but still plenty of space. Food was piping hot and good portion. We had chilli con corne, tikka masala with half rice and chips and kids fish stars chips and peas with three chocolate milkshakes....only complaint would be the milkshake, it needed ice cream in it ...seriously would highly recommend a visit.

Great place to stop for food and drinks, a large menu to suit all tastes. Nice rural setting not too far from Abergavenny. Large car park right next to cafe and clean toilets. Definitely worth a visit.

Another fabulous lunch, they never disappoint. The best tuna mayo baked potato I've ever had! Delicious fresh crispy salad with sliced apple, grapes & cold cooked peas! Excellent service too. The lemon & poppy seed cake was superb too with delicate flavour & soft sponge ...

Excellent light meals, coffee and cakes. Last order for cooked food is 1.45pm. Opening hours are not always reliable, so best to phone if you are planning a special visit.
